Assessment
I conduct multiple types of assessments: IQ- only testing (for private school admission), psychological screening and neuropsychological and psychoeducational assessment for people aged 7 and older. For more information, please see my FAQ page.

-
IQ- Only Assessments are used for private school admissions. I will provide you/the school with the raw data but this assessment does not include a report.
-
Psychological Screening answers the question: "Do I have ADHD (or ASD or Dyslexia, Giftedness etc.) or not?" They take less time and cost less. These can happen virtually OR in person.
-
Neuropsychological assessments are only occasionally covered by insurance; involve lengthy interviews cognitive and other testing, and record reviews; often include detailed reports; and are often used to obtain educational and workplace accommodations. For detailed information on neuropsychological assessments, see below. The interview and feedback portions of these assessments can happen virtually, but the actual testing itself must happen in-person (I require proof of vaccination).

I use thorough neuropsychological assessments to diagnose and create interventions for disorders such as:

-
ADHD (Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder)
-
ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder)
-
Gifted & Talented (and Twice Exceptional- 2E, GATE)
-
Learning Disorders (ex: Dyslexia, Dyscalculia)

Neuropsychological assessments occur across 1-3 sessions and I provide feedback and your report soon after completing testing. We meet in a combination of virtual in-person formats and I'm licensed in California, Hawaii, and New York. I screen and assess for multiple diagnoses simultaneously as they form part of the larger diagnostic picture and inform treatment and recommendations.

Therapeutic Services (No new clients)
I have a PhD in Clinical Psychology and I am passionate about supporting neurodivergent female-identified and gender-queer adults who have ADHD and who may or may not have a formal diagnosis. I provide a warm, empathic, neurodiverse-affirming atmosphere where we can work as a team to identify, process, and work through the specific areas that challenge you.

I myself have ADHD, so I have a deep understanding of what it can be like to be an adult with ADHD-- both the joys and the road bumps. If you've been diagnosed recently, that can have a different impact than if you were diagnosed as a child. Many adults with ADHD also have children with ADHD (as do I), and parenting kids with ADHD is also a common topic of conversation. Creating and sustaining interpersonal relationships can also be a source of stress and anxiety, and we can work through that together. Finally, ADHD can create work stress, which is important to address as well. As a result, I work with anxiety and depression as well.

I work virtually and in-person (North Berkeley location on Solano Ave).

ADHD Coaching for Adults (No new clients)
Together we work to set SMART goals related to your struggles with ADHD. I will make sure that we break the goals down so that they are both measurable and achievable. We can tackle a wide range of challenges (ex: organization, procrastination, task completion) and rack up some wins for you in these areas. Coaching with me is only suitable for adults who are willing to roll up their sleeves, change their behavior patterns, and bring commitment to the table.
